Great Conjunction of Saturn & Jupiter

December 14, 2020 @ 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Zoom online event

A great conjunction occurs when planets have the same right ascension or celestial longitude. Great conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn take place regularly, about every 20 years, due to the combined effect of Jupiter’s approximately 12-year orbital period and Saturn’s approximately 30-year orbital period. Join the “Ask an Astronomer Zoom” to watch a live cast of the conjunction and ask all the astronomy questions you have while enjoying this astronomical occurrence.
